The Campus Visit & Recruitment Coordinator provides leadership and management for all oncampus student recruitment events at Pikes Peak State College. This position supervises the Student Ambassador Program, oversees event logistics and planning for all on-campus recruitment events, and coordinates campus visits across all PPSC locations. This position ensures seamless and engaging experiences for prospective students, families, high school counselors, and concurrent enrollment students through strategic event management, program development, and team leadership. This role requires strong organizational, supervisory, and public speaking skills, with flexibility for evening and weekend events to accommodate diverse schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.

Essential Functions
Student Ambassador Program Leadership & Supervision
This position supervises, leads, and develops the Student Ambassador Program, overseeing recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing professional development of student ambassadors. This includes managing schedules across all PPSC campuses, reviewing timesheets for payroll compliance, and conducting regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback and support professional growth. This position designs comprehensive training programs covering campus knowledge, tour protocols, customer service, and concurrent enrollment processes while addressing interpersonal or performance issues promptly and professionally. This position continuously evaluates program effectiveness and implements strategic improvements to enhance ambassador performance and visitor experience.
Event Planning, Logistics & Execution
This position oversees all campus tour operations across PPSC locations, managing private tour requests, group tours, and campus visits to ensure personalized, informative experiences. The position leads, organizes, and facilitates large-scale student recruitment events including Peak Experience, High School Counselor Breakfasts, and school group tours by coordinating with campus partners and managing venue coordination, presentations, materials, logistics, and follow-up communication. This position plans academic program information sessions, develops summer recruitment programming for underclassmen, and coordinates open houses and application days. Additionally, the position executes targeted events for specific populations including First Generation College Days, Adult Learner Experiences, Parent Information Sessions, Scholarship Information Sessions, and concurrent enrollment promotion events. This position offers flexible weekend campus visits to maximize accessibility for prospective students and families.
Concurrent Enrollment Support & Coordination
This position assists with processing concurrent enrollment applications, coding, and registration to ensure timely and accurate enrollment of high school students. This position facilitates meaningful connections between concurrent enrollment students and undergraduate programs, supporting seamless transitions as students progress in their educational journey. This position works within the recruitment team to develop and refine concurrent enrollment promotion strategies and create compelling materials for use at on-campus events. Throughout campus visits and events, provides comprehensive information and guidance to high school counselors and families regarding concurrent enrollment processes, eligibility requirements, and the benefits of early college opportunities.
Recruitment Team Collaboration & Event Support
This position identifies opportunities for innovation in on-campus recruitment activities, proposing and implementing new strategies to enhance student engagement and enrollment outcomes. This position collaborates with recruiters on outreach initiatives and provides coverage for high school visits and community events as needed. This position responds promptly to prospective student inquiries via phone, email, and text while utilizing CRM software and student information systems to track event attendance, tour participation, and follow-up activities. Serving as a liaison between campuses, ensures consistent messaging and quality experiences across all PPSC locations while assisting with communication campaigns to support enrollment goals.
