This position will oversee the contracting process to ensure timely compensation for faculty and instructors. This is a collaborative position that includes a deep understanding of the Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) handbook, scheduling rules, and college and system pay processes.

Position will work with the FLAC team to streamline and standardize compensation processes that further the college's mission. Position will facilitate the development of consistent and efficient compensation processes, collaborate with academic divisions, Executive Deans, budget office and key human resources staff to ensure quality control, appropriate data entry, and verify workload forms are processed correctly and in a timely manner. This position is responsible for understanding and applying PPSC compensation processes consistently to assure equitable and timely compensation for all faculty and instructors.

Position will partner with system-wide teams within the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) including the FLAC Processors Group, Schedulers Group, Colorado Online and FLAC Teams from other CCCS schools, to manage equitable pay processes and align with CCCS System policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree with two years of professional level experience in data management, project coordination, or related field OR completed Associate degree with four years of professional level experience in data management, project coordination, or related field.  
  • Supervision experience.

Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Banner and COGNOS or other higher education CRM.
  • Experience processing Faculty Load and Compensation.
  • Experience providing quality assurance.
  • Experience with advanced MS Excel Functionality.
  • Experience working with Ad Astra or other higher education scheduling software.

Essential Functions 

Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) Management/Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the contracting process to ensure timely compensation for faculty and instructors.
  • Run and analyze reports to identify courses missing contracts and to track contracts pending approval.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to assure timely and accurate pay.
  • Provide guidance and training opportunities for contract generators to ensure consistent and timely processing of contracts. 
  • Process contracts and load forms as needed to ensure accurate and timely payment for instructors and faculty.
  • Collaborate with the FLAC Training Coordinator to develop training plans for faculty, instructors and staff related to FLAC processes (i.e., load forms, load sequencing, appropriate coding, home org updates, approval queue updates and electronic contract approvals).
  • Collaborate with FLAC Team to implement and maintain quality assurance.

Supervision and Leadership

  • Provide direct oversight of FLAC Team members.
  • Ensure high performance, effective service delivery.
  • Participates in team building exercises and builds positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues both within the department and in other departments within the college.
