The Military and Veterans Programs is seeking temporary administrative assistant support for students, faculty, and staff at PPSC.

This position is temporary part-time, not to exceed 28 hours per week, maximum 9-month assignment.

Job Description
  • Verify student classes are in compliance with VA regulations and federal laws.
  • Certify student enrollment in VA’s Enrollment Manager, to include original certifications, amendments, submission of tuition and fees, and terminations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for students utilizing veterans education benefits.
  • Provide student assistance with all aspects of the certification and enrollment process.
  • Coordinate with Student Accounts for tuition and fee calculations and the research of payment discrepancies.
  • Assist with Veterans Education Benefit Briefings, including updating PowerPoint information and handouts, presenting at the briefings, and recording attendance.
  • Process VA documents, to include Primary Institution Letters and VR&E Authorizations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed high school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience providing customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Verified work experience with the military population.
  • Completed Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Additional years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
