The Coordinator of Tutoring and Computer Lab Services at Pikes Peak State College supports the Associate Vice President of Academic Resources in organizing, scheduling, and managing tutoring and computer lab operations across multiple campuses. At the direction of the Associate Vice President this position oversees tutoring services including, tutoring centers, Lead Tutors, tutors, student staff, and workspaces. This position also oversees the computer lab spaces which are a part of the Tutoring Centers. This position works collaboratively with faculty and other instructional partners to support student learning and instructional needs and to ensure that innovative practices are meeting the needs of students and faculty. This position ensures that these operations are performed in an efficient and productive manner. In addition, this position oversees tutoring and computer lab budgets, works in collaboration with other Academic Resources partners, and may supervise full and part time, classified, APT, and student staff. Work schedule may include days, nights, and weekend shifts and travel to multiple campuses.
The college offers the possibility for alternative work arrangements such as flexplace, remote work, or flextime scheduling upon completion of training and department needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.
